Riding your new all-wheel-drive ebike for the first time is super exciting! The joy of cruising through the streets or easily handling rough paths is a dream for many cyclists. To help you enjoy every ride safely and to the fullest, I’ve put together some helpful tips for you.

Practice Before Your Big Ride
Before embarking on your first major adventure, take some time to practice. Familiarize yourself with the unique features of your AWD ebike. Make sure your seat and handlebar heights are adjusted correctly—your feet should just touch the ground when seated, and the seat post should be inserted past its minimum insertion point as indicated by the markings.

Your bike offers on-demand all-wheel drive, allowing you to choose between front-wheel, rear-wheel, or all-wheel drive at any time. If you're new to e-bikes, we recommend starting in PAS level 1 with rear-wheel drive to get comfortable with the bike. Begin in a safe, flat area free of traffic to build your confidence before hitting the trails.

Brake Early and Often
AWD e-bikes are typically heavier and faster than traditional bikes, making it crucial to familiarize yourself with the braking system. Practice using both hand brakes simultaneously for a smooth and controlled stop. Remember, using the rear brake first helps maintain stability. Avoid hard braking, especially on inclines, to prevent accidents.

Master the Throttle
Your all-wheel-drive ebike may feature a right-side half-twist throttle. Spend time getting comfortable with engaging the throttle gently. Use it strategically, especially when starting on an incline or crossing intersections. This will help you adjust to the bike's power delivery and avoid any sudden jerks.

Utilize Your Gears Wisely
Take full advantage of your e-bike's gearing system. Downshifting to a lower gear can make pedaling easier, especially on steep hills, and helps preserve battery life. This means you can ride longer distances without draining your battery too quickly. Shift gears proactively to maintain a comfortable cadence as you tackle inclines.

Pay Attention to Turns
The weight and design of your AWD ebike can affect how you navigate turns. Be mindful of your bike's width, especially if equipped with wider 4-inch tires. Slow down before making turns to maintain control and avoid hitting curbs or other obstacles. Remember, it’s better to take turns wide than to risk losing balance.

Know Your Battery Range
Understanding your battery range is vital for planning your rides. All-wheel-drive ebikes can consume more power, particularly when using dual motors. Keep an eye on your battery level and plan your routes accordingly. Consider carrying a portable charger for longer trips to ensure you’re never caught off guard.

Explore Different Terrains
One of the key advantages of an AWD e-bike is its ability to handle various terrains. Use this to your advantage by exploring trails, gravel paths, and even light off-road routes.

RWD Mode: Ideal for maximizing distance with minimal power consumption.
FWD Mode: Perfect for maneuvering over loose terrain, slippery surfaces, or snow.
AWD Mode: Designed for conquering the most challenging and steepest terrains.

The front suspension fork of your bike is equipped with adjustment and lockout mechanisms located at the top. These lockout and preload adjustment controls allow you to customize the "ride feel" to your preference.

Just be sure to adjust your riding style according to the terrain and remain aware of how your bike handles in different conditions.

By following these seven tips, you’ll enhance your riding experience and maximize the potential of your all-wheel-drive e-bike. Enjoy the journey, and happy riding!
