The bike rides nice really like the throttle mode use the pedal function something but if im going to pedal pass 1 is sufficient.
This bike is a beast! I have had it about a month and a half and absolutely no issues have come up. The ride is so enjoyable - shocks and padded saddle to ride in comfort, throttle and cruise control make the ride effortless. I really wantef folding full sized bike that I can take on trips and I plan on doing just that this summer. So far, I'm impressed with the range - my longest trip has been 40 miles in PA-1 and had 25% battery remaining. In PA-2 I went 25 and still had a little over 25%. The price of this bike is incredible, considering all of the features and how well built it is. I just love this bike and consider it an investment in my overall happiness. I highly recommend Wallke!
We bought two X2 bikes and we absolutely love them! We would have bought the X3 but they were on a month delay for backorder and we didn't care enough about the differences to wait, plus we prefer the mag wheels to spokes.
For me, the smaller battery size is the only real negative in the X2/X3 comparison. But even with the 11.6Ah battery, we travelled 40 miles with some slight inclines on one charge with power left to spare. We were in (pedal assist) PAS1 about 70% of the time and PAS2 the other 30%.
I am 6'4" (190lbs) with a 36" inseam and I find pedaling the bike very comfortable. My wife is 5'9" with a 30" inseam and she also finds it comfortable and has no problem with the stand-over height. Her seat is positioned just above the rear rack, while mine is about 6" higher.
The bikes are big, heavy and not very nimble (no surprise there), especially compared to my commuter bike. It almost felt like mounting a small motorcycle in comparison. Once you get used to the size and mass of these bikes, you feel like you can ride over/through anything. I did take it on a forest trail, which was fine, but you need to really be prepared for sharp turns, etc. until you're familiar with how this bike handles in tight situations.
I don't think I would ever want a fat tire bike that wasn't an e-bike, due to the amount of rolling friction that comes with 4", off-road, 20 psi (max) tires. But when you have power on-tap to get up to speed after a stop, climb a hill, or just go fast, all that additional friction just doesn't matter. When stopped, I just hit the throttle to get up to cruising speed, then switch to pedal assist to maintain my speed. It's an awesome feeling and it gets you out moving with traffic in a hurry, without those first slow cranks!
I did have some problems with my bike upon arrival, my wife did not. My right brake motor cut-out was not working, and my middle/high gears were a little messed up. The gears problem was due to my derailleur guard contacting my derailleur, preventing me from getting into 8th gear (smallest cog). I pried the guard out a bit to give the derailleur some space to move, then adjusted the derailleur following simple online instructions to get the gears aligned properly. Very easy.
For the motor cut-out problem, after some troubleshooting via email with Wallke customer service, I ended up needing a new wiring harness. It was sent to me quickly and hassle-free and I installed it myself.
Wallke customer service is very responsive and EXCELLENT! Everything we have discussed since the purchase has been done quickly and professionally. Our bikes and the replacement parts I needed shipped from California to Oregon in only a few days.
One negative thing I would mention is the lack of a wired, rear light. We bought some good battery powered ones, but it's silly to me that any e-bike these days wouldn't come with integrated front and rear lights. The front light is OK, but it's nothing remarkable. I might swap it for a better one if I find an easy 48v replacement.
On the left handlebar, I swapped the brake lever and throttle position for ergonomics. There is a screw on the inside edge of the brake lever that was rubbing my index finger and the throttle felt too far away. After the swap, the throttle is closest to the hand grip, then the brake, then the controller interface. On the right side, I just moved the brake lever over 1/2" for the same reason.

I got the bike it is fantastic it wouldn't go from 1st 2nd to 3rd you texted me right away the proper way to do it and it worked great the only problem I have is I have two bikes one the rear brake is the left handle and on the other bike the rear brake is the right handle how I tried switching the plugs but it doesn't change anything how do I change the settings for the brakes thank you very much Craig viente
I bought this bike to use for hunting, prices of some of the others were crazy.... I put on a couple miles around the house seeing what it could do. Well I LOVE it. It is fast it has power for hills not mountains. Pedal assist is needed for that. Recently took it off road to see what it could do WOW it went everywhere and went through everything, puddles, rocks, mud dirt. The machine is well built and can handle just about anything. It is quiet, i did roll up on a few deer they had no idea what I was LOL. Battery life was only the initial charge, i have done around 11 hard miles off road and using the throttle quite a bit and i still have 78% battery left. I'm 200 Lbs and it moved me easily. Absolutely recommend
I really like the bike. The cruise control is nice. I will send some pictures of the bike in use, just have not had the chance to. I am having trouble finding a way in to the display. There are no instructions for it. But all in all I like the bike. If you could send me a web site that I can go to and set up shocks and figure out the display it would very helpful. I use the bike as a commuter to and from work everyday. I think the bike could have a more of an amp output. My old x2 had a 14amp battery where this only has 11amp. But like I said I really like the bike
